What to talk of top Pakistan bloggers (and or
struggling bloggers), even entrepreneurs do not. There are two main and obvious reasons. “There is a big difference between a penny and free here,” Most entrepreneurs are following ‘build-and-monetize later’ idea. And encouraging the idea that the Web is free, rather than setting expectations from the beginning is a dangerous strategy. There is a silence all over. Few people have credit cards and banks don’t have a universal payment system that e-commerce can exploit (yes, exceptions apart).
Web advertising can actually be lucrative, even at this (still) initial stage. Only the big brands have to wake up to the Pakistan’s big, untapped market and there aren’t a lot of mass media platforms to advertise over. BTW, is there any?
