Blogging about movies in Pakistan is rare of a kind. This post at pakistaniat.com is a welcome sign since we need to have posts in this niche too. In this post Adil Najam has beautifully written about the movie and the director. Adil Najam has not seen the movie but he seems predicting about the impacts of the movie. At the moment, the movie has done a substantial business but this post of Adil Najam appears relevant due to kind of content he has given in this post.
6. Emergency in Stock Market: Annuities, Shares & Investors
With declaration of emergency, all the sections were affected including stock market. Almost every blog in our sphere wrote about political turmoil and friction in Pakistan but one can find very few bloggers writing about effects of emergency on financial institutions of the country. This post by Qurratulain Akhter asserts the impact of emergency on the stock market. Though, the length of post is that significant but still it highlights this important aspect of emergency.
7. Egyptian bloggers imprisoned for 4 year
The blogging has emerged as a phenomenon and in countries where the situation of freedom of speech is not so good; the bloggers are breaking the ice with their write ups. Today, we are inter-dependent to such an extent that staying in isolation is nearly impossible and in this context, such a post gives us a sense of association to a wider community of bloggers around the globe.
8. End of an era: Qurratulain Hyder
Qurratulain Hyder is considered a legend in Urdu literature. She had her own voice, Urdu literature and our nation will stay indebted to her for giving us such wonderful novels like "Aag Ka Darya". This post by Raza Rumi is a tribute to the departed soul. I liked the way Raza has written about her.

This post is factual in its nature and it gives us the reality of corporal punishment and its long term effects on children. The story does not ends here, the writer has given the suggestions too to curb this mal practice and bring our system at par with civilized society.
10. Mirza Ghalib and Allama Iqbal
This post (by Fahd at Chorangi) compares two of the great poets. Fahd had pointed out the basic difference between Mirza Ghalib and Allama Iqbal. He claims and argues with examples that Mirza Ghalib was a person who used to believe in obscurity and in contrast with Ghalib, Allama Iqbal has clear cut thinking. Though I can't find any reason of this comparison but even then it is a good sign that pure literature is finding place around in Pakistani blogsphere

What are blog(s) to Me?
This blog is a resource for my thoughts. More often, I blog form impressions and or generate ideas to see how they invoke reactions, to keep track of others’ work in the fields of my interests, or simply to rant or point out things that come to my attention.
Also, I use blogging as a platform to prune ideas. This is where I meet others. And “I am neither geek, nor nerd, I am not a hacker, a phreaker, a programmer or any variety of technoid dweeb.”
What are blog(s) to you?
Internet is a lonely place without Blogs; a fine art and economics. Blogs are different to different people. I usually ask blogger friends to share their views on what is a blog to them?
Contribute your thoughts on blogging in general. In particular, write how you blog? Why? How blogging matters in life and work? Answer these questions and more (add what you feel is important dimension for you) and share {sajshirazi(at)gmail.com} here.
